Well, it's coming along slowly but surely. On my 40th birthday, I decided to take on another ambitious project and build a full-size airplane that seats two. It's a childhood dream since seeing my first homebuilt at the Reno Air Races as a youngster. After much research, I decided on Van's Aircraft's RV-9a. So I went to Aurora, Or and test-flew in it w/one of my buds, Jimmy Sauter. We both agreed this plane is extroidinary and "gotta have it." I am almost done w/the empennage. The only thing that keeps me from building the wings right now... is... well... you know.... TIME & MONEY! If you have an extra 50k and would like to invest in an airplane with a ministry dream behind it, talk to me! Otherwise, I trust you'll enjoy the pics! -FullOn

Excuse the incorrect date stamped on the first pic, but here's a few shots of progress. For a woodworker by nature, it's been fun exploring the realm of aircraft aluminum! I'm impressed w/the plans and the thorough instructions by Vans. I also ordered a helpful video that I've referred to on occasion when something in the plans doesn't make sense. My 9 year old son Hunter is handy w/the cleco pliers and loves to help when the project allows.
