and why the SILVER & BLACK rule the NFL

Dave's latest quote on the NFL:

"It's OK to support your team, but give homage to The Oakland Raiders"

Why Dave is an Oakland Raider...

Reason #1: From 1960 to date, The Oakland Raiders are the winningest team in the NFL. Most enthusiasts of other teams have blindly ignored this statistic for decades. No other team in NFL history has a combined record of 381-252-11. Do the math. That's a better percentage than any team.

Reason #2: The Oakland Raiders are the undisputed champions of Monday Night Football. Record: 34-18-1. Anybody who is anybody knows that if your team cannot win on Monday Night--- you're nothing.

Reason #3: The Oakland Raiders have been to the SuperBowl five times and have a .600 winning percentage. Only a couple of teams in the NFL can boast this amount of appearances and winning percentage.

Reason #4: The Silver and Black have been in FOURTEEN Title play-off games--- the NFL record for AFC teams. The Raiders played in the AFC title game in 1967-70, 1973-77, 1980, 1983, 1990, 2000 and now 2002.

Reason #5: The Raiders hold the NFL record for most consecutive times in the Championship game for an AFC participant at FIVE title games (1973-77). Who is #2 behind the Raiders? Ah… well… it's also The Raiders with the second-best mark, having played in FOUR straight title contests from 1967-70.

Not convinced yet? Please read on.

Reason #6: The Oakland Raiders have had more players inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame than any other team in the NFL. 13 now in the NFL Hall of Fame! See RAIDER LEGENDS in the NFL Hall of Fame.

Reason #7: Silver and Black are the colors of the champions. Not so? Then, why do all the BIG teams who have NEVER had "black" in their uniform all of a sudden have added BLACK to their uniform color scheme the last ten years as well as ALL NEW expansion teams? (49'ers, Broncos, Titans, Ravens, Panthers, Jaguars, etc.). Is this just coincidence or are they longing to mimic the true essence of those who bleed BLACK & silver? Dave's conclusion: Everyone else is wannabe.
